The project refers to the construction of a cultural center in the city of Deinze, holding 450 seats, administrative spaces, a foyer, smaller multi-purpose rooms and a cafe.
With a square footprint, the project develops a gridded plan producing a three dimensional puzzle of spaces. Three programmatic rows are combined, with four strokes with spatial identities, forming a grid-like plan. The result is a flexible, interwoven plan, combining a rich spatiality and functional efficiency.
