The new housing building replaces an ancient barn in very bad state that had to be demolished. It completes a set of heterogeneous constructions arranged around a central courtyard. The owner refurbishes this ancient brewery step by step, and wants the new housing to preserve the specific architecture of the site.
The new building proposes a long elevation on the courtyard, opens on two existing gardens on the back, and negociates a dense relationship with the neighbourhood. It contains two houses, one appartment and garage facilities.
Strong insulation and mechanical ventilation are applied in a very low-energy perspective.
