SHOP - 2006 - camouflaged ready-made or guerilla marketing ?

During the construction works of the Vertigo, Walibi asked us to provide the public space with a small shop. Given that this was obviously not incorporated in the intial project, and that the financial constraints were very tight, the shop needed to be an independent and dynamic complement to the vertigo.

Budget ? Construction ?
Traditional construction is excluded, prefabrication should prevail. The use of two sea containers provides real financial and spatial rationality.

Shop ? Goods ?
Some synthetic eyes are added to the containers, changing them into strange hybrids, somewhere between the cargo evoking transport of goods, and the decompression chamber after the flight ride nearby.

Integration ? Identity ?
As contextual integration is impossible due to the construction already being realized, the containers are placed "as-is" on site. The application of camouflage techniques used during WWI created a strong identity : razzle-dazzle, sioux war-painting or barcode ?
