The project involves a new landscape for the sport centre of Sippelberg, through a green connection within the site, the creation of the future Gandhi square, the extension of the existing sports hall, and the construction of a new foyer to welcome the needs of the current clubs, aiming for an intimate connection between the users of the site and the neighborhood.

More precisely, the project aims to enhance the Sippelberg site by leveraging its existing qualities while minimizing costly interventions. By recognizing the value of each element, the project seeks to unlock the site's ecosystem potential and provide functional, user-friendly features for both the sports center and the surrounding neighborhood. The vision is to create a true sports park that fosters social ties, integrates with the city, and positively contributes to the local ecosystem.

To achieve this, the plan focuses on three main operations: simplifying park operations, ensuring public accessibility, and reinforcing permeability and biodiversity. A key component is consolidating all programmatic needs under one large roof at the site's entrance. This new building will act as a bridge between the public space and sports facilities, activating the square and organizing internal functions.

The central placement of the building opens up ground space for a continuous landscape project, creating a fluid connection between the site’s features. The new sports square, open to the neighborhood, bridges the gap between the sports center and the city. Its large, flexible surface accommodates various sporting activities beyond organized clubs, inviting a diverse range of users to enjoy the space.

Addressing environmental challenges, the site's lower area, prone to flooding due to the impermeable Paruck stream valley, will incorporate interventions designed to slow surface water runoff and promote local infiltration. Rainwater collected from the roof will be reused for toilets, irrigation, and equipment cleaning, while a green roof will enhance water retention. Vegetated bleachers will help slow water flow, and three interconnected swales will manage excess water. In the event of heavy rain, the large square will serve as a retention basin, further supporting sustainable water management.
