The Jean Massart Botanic garden is part of an historical abbey linked to the large Soignes Forest, near Brussels. The small wooden pavilion hosts a workshop for the park maintenance, and some multifunctional and office spaces. Both are contained in two slightly rotated squares, which define a covered exterior space. The pavilion forms a diaphragm between the botanic nursery and the open landscape.
